The description of this trip is misleading/out of date because what this tour actually does is take you to Malahide Castle. That's where the bulk of your time is spent before driving on to Howth. I had seen Malahide Castle before so had it been advertised that, that's what we were going to do, I probably would not have gone on this trip. But it had been some time since I had been to the castle and it had undergone major renovations, so I ended-up enjoying myself. Plus I got to see seals in Howth! Can't beat seals in the wild!
This was a a great trip! Our tour guide and bus driver was wonderfully entertaining! Singing Irish ditties, telling stories and just generally being great. I really enjoyed the Rope Bridge and the Causeway. We had plenty of time to explore. I am not the most fittest of persons but even I was able to take the medium difficulty trail down to the causeway and the hard difficulty trail back to the visitor's centre AND have time for a soft serve ice cream! The Belfast leg of the tour a bit of a bust. You get back to Belfast very late in the day and by that time most of the things are closed and all you can really do is take pictures from the outside. Otherwise, it was a great day and highly recommended.
