Great way to see a small bit of the City in one day.  Even a little down time for shopping.  Decent local food for lunch.

Pompeii in morning and Mt V in the afternoon.  Should have been reversed given that no photos were really possible facing the western sun in the afternoon.  Lunch was purported to be the traditional "must have" Napoli classic pizzas.  I've had better frozen pizza from a vending machine.  The salad likely came in large plastic bags before being drowned in bad dressing.  Good guide in the ruins - the rest of the trip I would do very differently - like just take the train out of Rome and get a guide at the gates.

Excellent experience and highly recommend as a way to improve your photos and get a good guide knowledgeable about the city and history.  Saw a lot of out-of-the-way places we would otherwise have missed and got some terrific photos and photog tips as well.
