The tour guide did an excellent job explaining the history of the Louvre and some of the more significant pieces of art. We also did not encounter any sort of line to enter the museum. However, this is a very brief introduction to the museum and you only see a small number of works (you do see the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo).

Fantastic tour of beautiful chateauxs from the 16th century. This tour was made even better by having two excellent tour guides (Amed and Caroline) who were able to tell the story of the castles and a detailed account of the residents over the past 600 years. While it does take up an entire day, I would highly recommend the tour.

This tour is a must-have for any fan of history, especially of WWII. It was surreal to walk on the beaches that the US forces invaded on D-Day and go inside the German fortifications that made up the Atlantic wall. Even more impressive was the beautiful and vast American cemetery at Colleville where almost 10,000 US troops are buried. Highly recommended!
