Mini Europe - Miniature Model Park

My Review: The park was all right but my first impression was not great as they were late in opening. My ticket stated 9.30 am. When we got there, the sign states 10 am during winter. We waited for half an hour and it did not open on time but opened at 10.10 am instead. The models were all right but they were fairly old. However, they were quite representative of each country.

Antwerp Half-Day Trip from Brussels

My Review: Antwerp was all right. We spent half a day there just to be away from Brussels. The proce included the entrance to the cathedral. Three of Rubens's paintings were on display. There were plenty of restaurants in Antwerp. Overall, it was just another city with a market square, shops etc. We also had a tour to a Diamond factory/shop, known as Diamondland. The tour was fairly informative, giving info on the grade, clarity, colour and cut of the different diamonds.

Ghent and Bruges Day Trip from Brussels

My Review: Ghent was all right. We saw the Saint Bavon church and St. Michael's bridge but that was about it. Oh and the bell tower and town hall which was quite impressive in terms of architecture. Our tour guide, Frank, was quite informative. We were given an hour of free time in Ghent. After that, it was onwards to Bruges. It was my 2nd time in Bruges. Our tour guide brought us to a restauranta and recommended to us to eat there. He went in so we followed. The service was horrendous and we immediately walked out and went to the one next to this one. The staff in the next restaurant was absolutely brilliant. His service was amazing and we left him a tip. We had an informative walking tour around Bruges. It was beautiful. We were told by our guide not to buy too many chocolates as they were expensive. Just before we boarded the coach again to return to Brussels, he brought us to a shop to get "cheaper" chocolates. My advice would be not to buy as they were still much more expensive than those sold in the supermarkets in Brussels.

Murano, Burano and Torcello Half-Day Sightseeing Tour

My Review: An average day trip if you have the time. Not much on the islands except glass and lace shopping. Guide was all right but though she spoke more in Italian than in English. That surprised us and a few other tourists as when we booked, it was stated that the tour will be conducted in English. Her English was quite hard to understand as well.
