1. Enjoyed montjuic cable car trip. Enjoyed views and photographs from on high.
2. Glad i did this tour. Out of the way, so good to be on a tour. Having visited Montserrat, on reflection, it would be lovely to have an overnight and attend a religios service and hear the choir.
3. Unaware that i would return from first tour, and have to pass time until the other tour in the afternoon.
My 8 day tour was great. I booked three star and a couple of the hotel were not three star. Also i made friends with people who had booked four star and there was a huge difference between the hotel, but also the treatment the three star people received. The hotel in Granada was fabulous. Best one of the trip. Sol principe is like a small town with thousands of people staying there. Restaurant for brek and dinner unbearably noisy, with queues to get food. Catalonia st just in Seville was awful, incl. food. All the tours with local guides were excellent. It is tiresome to have three languages explaining all the time. Very big groups.
Carlos from Julia tours did not advise e of pick up from sol principe in torremolinos. I was the only one from the 8 day tour staying there. I made four phones to madrid and Alabama before i found out my pick up time.
Carlos was remiss and it cost me €4.80 which the hotel charged me to find out the pick up time.
Local tour operator is not doing the right thing. The bus was full to capacity and this is not good for five hr coach trips.. I preferred to sit at the back of the bus because more space, but the heat from the engines was enormous. More than ten degrees higher than the rest of the bus, and could not hear audio system. Guide spoke more in Spanish than English, because he was better at that language. The hotel in Casablanca was awful. They did get better in marrakech and fez. I paid three star and apparently the last two hotels were better than the four star ones. The evening show in Marrakech was awesome. Expensive but much better than expected. Even the food was good and wine and beer included.
Overall i had a great time, but a lot of our group were seriously disappointed. I knew i had pd budget and didnt have high expectations. Glad i did it. Noddy
Our bus left 15 min late from pyramide. Then a queue to get into eiffel tower, then a queue into restaurant, then a queue to get back down the tower. I feel our time over dinner was reduced because of the lateness of the bus departing. The dinner, drinks etc very pleasant, but definitely rushed. Queuing again to get onto seine boat.
Once onboard very pleasant. Off the boat in time to queue again outside moulin rouge. They certainly know how to pack the people into show and we were concerned because we could not see emergency exits. Legal???? Afterwards we were efficiently put onto buses and dropped off as promised. Only within confines of paris, not past the periphique, ring road.
Would suggest eating on boat ion seine, less queueing.
Definitely enjoyed this day trip. Long day but necessary to see everything, and to enjoy lunch at lovely location. Dont take anything whch needs to left at cloakroom. Had to leave my umbrella and after queueing at the grubby toilets, barely had time to have an overview of the gardens, before finding cloakroom again. The gardens are really so huge, it would be hard to see them all, even on a day trip to versailles.
Definately with all the wealth and lavishness of the palace, some money could be allotted to more toilets with a cleaner full time to oversee.
