Wonderful trip to a wonderful city. Pity the long travelling time only allowed us a 4-hour taster of what the city has to offer but it whet our appetites for a return trip. Nevertheless our guides were superb and really helped make it a wonderful experience. Highly recommended day trip.

Definitely a case of "all is well that ends well". The tour operator dropped us off at the public bus station in the morning with little indication of what to do. The bus did multiple stops but fortunately when we arrived at the bus station in Bratislava a man jumped on and announced he was a tour guide. He was excellent and the city was a magnificent surprise - beautiful medieval ambiance with a hint of mischievous fun on the streets. A true gem of a trip. The bus returns to the bus station in downtown Vienna but will take you to the opera house if you ask him. Bratislava is only an hour's ride from Vienna. Don't miss it!

This trip is a complete misrepresentation! We were picked up by the tour operator and taken to a riverboat where we were informed that we would have to make our own way back to the hotel. Our ticket mentioned a "tour guide" - there wasn't one. The boat actually cruised down the canal for the first hour and spent 20 mins in a lock before we reached the Danube where we cruised for an hour before returning via the canal. There wasn't any sightseeing at all. The boat cruised AWAY from the city so at no stage did we see any of the sights portrayed in the picture. The music was local fare, great if you understand German, which we do not. The food was passable but not great. The waiter struggled with english. There is a small open deck in the stern if you want some air but it was packed with people smoking and an absolute "no go" zone for non-smokers. A really disappointing experience that I would not recommend to anyone.

A fairly enjoyable trip although our guide's english was not the best. We did a brief tour of the citry before the local guide took over. We were then shown many of the same things again. Not the best city for sightseeing but an ideal day trip if you're at a loose end.

Lovely short day trip. Nice scenery. We thoroughly enjoyed the short boat ride and the monastery at Melk is wonderful. recommended.

A really lovely day out and a must-do if you are in Vienna. The atmosphere of Salzburg is really special and our guide was excellent. The special little side trip to the lakeside town of St.Gilgen was a dream. Highly recommended.
