New York City, New York
Definitely worth getting the City Pass if you are going to want to visit the locations covered. Will save you money and you skip some of the queueing (although you do still queue a bit with other City Pass holders!). Recommended.
My wife and I both agreed that this was the perfect way to visit these two galleries if you are not a Renaissance scholar. Finding the tour guides was easy and as you each have a little receiver with an earpiece none of their commentary is missed.
Antonio was our guide for the Accademia and was able to give a real insight into Michaelangelo's life and working methods with real passion to involve his audience in the story. The arrival at the highlight of The David was genuinely moving.
Angelo was our guide for the Uffizi. In truth you actually see only a few paintings from its vast selection but we learnt much more from Angelo than we would have got wandering aimlessly ourselves reading the descriptions. He also has funny stories to keep you entertained!
I would thoroughly recommend this tour for those wanting to dip their toes in the water rather than wanting to dive in. Good value.
