Small-Group Berlin Street Art Tour and Graffiti Workshop

Berlin, Germany

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
Street part is such a part of Berlin's culture, but I'd always thought of it as just graffiti, until I took this tour. It was fascinating to learn about the origins of street art, the different methods artists use to create their work, and the unspoken rules of the artists who work in the city. And of course, making my own piece of art was so much fun! I loved being able to create my own souvenir of Berlin. I would recommend this tour to any art lover (even if you turn your nose up at street art) or anyone who wants to learn more about modern life in Berlin.

Private Cappadocia Food and Culture Tour: Ayvali Village, Turkish Cooking Class and Wine Caves

Cappadocia, Turkey

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
This tour was the highlight of my time in Cappadocia. The family that hosts the class could not have been more welcoming! They brought us into their home, treated us like family, and fed us some of the best food we had in our ten days in Turkey. I would highly recommend that anyone interested in learning more about life in Cappadocia book this tour.

DMZ Past and Present: Korean Demilitarized Zone Tour from Seoul

Seoul, South Korea

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review
This a great way to see the DMZ, which you really can't see unless you are on a tour. The tour guide was friendly and very informative, gave us clear instructions about where and when we could take photos (there are lots of rules), and about what time we needed to be back on the bus each time. The tour seemed to run on time and we got back to the city at the time we expected. We made a lot of stops but each one was pretty quick (not rushed, but not so long I felt like I was waiting around) so the time seemed to go by really fast. I was never bored. There is a short visit to an amethyst shop and/or a ginseng shop. our group chose the ginseng shop and it was basically a sales presentation. Next time I'd just get off the bus there and continue exploring on my own.

Small-Group Korean Night Food Tour

Seoul, South Korea

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
This was a highlight of our time in Seoul! It was great to have a guide to tell us about Korean food culture and guide us to where to go and what to eat. Our guide was informative and funny, patiently answering our questions but always keeping us on track. We visited four places; it was a great variety, tons of food (by the end I was stuffed) and just enough walking to help us digest. Our guide even helped us all find our subway stops to get home afterwards. We loved one of the meals so much that we returned on our own (now confident in how to order without speaking Korean) and had the meal again on another night!
