Dubai, United Arab Emirates
This is a tour well worth the price. It does take you to many of the main cultural sights and we got some lovely pictures. The first stop was the Souk Madinat Jumeirah and I wish we had had a chance to go back again before we left. We didn't spend too long in any one spot. The water taxi ride was quite short, but you can still get some nice photos. The vendors at the spice and gold souk are rather aggressive, but I am still happy with my gold chain (I picked my seller based upon it being a crowded store). Some of our fellow tourists were a little grouchy about the time spent picking up others -- depending on your hotel, you could be picked up anytime between 1 and 2:30 and if you are 1:00, you are riding around for 90 minutes (although it is a comfortable, air conditioned van). Dubai itself, unless you are there in December or January is very very hot, so it is quite reasonable for the tour to begin late in the day. It was a nice combination of sights for a half-day tour. Prices in Dubai are high, and this combination, which included pick up and drop off made this tour quite a bargain.
