This tour tried to accomplish too much in one day. The sights were quite amazing, and a must see while in Beijing. However, in order to fit everything in the pace of the tour was very fast. There really wasn't even 5-10 minutes in any one location to walk around on our own and enjoy the sights. On top of the sights listed, we also visited a silk factory, a pearl factory, and had lunch. It would have been nice to visit less places but spend more time in each.
We had a fantastic time on this tour! We were picked up from our hotel punctually and arrived at the Great Wall very early; it was not busy there at all! I understand that this is a slower time of year to visit the Great Wall, but I did not expect so few people to be there. This is a beautiful section of the wall to visit, just breathtaking views. We were given almost 2 hours to walk around, which was plenty of time. From where you are dropped off, you have the option to walk up to the wall or take a cable car. Definitely take the cable car, it would take way too long to walk. On the way down, you can take the cable car or the mountain luge. We took the luge, which was really fun! After visiting the wall, we were taken to a pottery factory (as expected) with lunch. We were then taken to a tea shop, which was not indicated in the itinerary. But it was nice to enjoy a cup of tea. I'd definitely recommend this tour!
