Skip the Line: Vatican Museums Walking Tour including Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms and St Peter's
Rome, Italy
My Rating

This is a brilliant trip, and, one that we would highly recommend. The tour was excellent from start to finish. The starting location was easy enough to find and the organisation very efficient. Being able to skip the line, especially during the hieght of summer, is ideal and enables you to appreciate your visit more. Our guide was absolutely suberb, particularly given that she was an academic expert in art history, with a speciality in the work and life of Michaelangelo. There is a fair amount of walking in the tour but the pace is very leisurely and there are plenty of moments to stop and take pictures etc. The time spent touring the Vatican musems was lovely and there are some incredible pieces and architectural highlights that you would not be able to see if you just opted to see the Sistine chapel. The Sistine chapel was brilliant, and the tour allows for plenty of time to appreciate the space and all the art works on offer. The tour then takes in St Peters Basilica and ends on the front steps. Here you have the option to reenter the Basilica, or, climb to the top of the Basilica for some superb views (thoroughly recommended). All in all, my wife and I spent half a day in the Vatican and this tour was a substantial part of making it an unforgettable experience.

Skip the Line: Florence Uffizi Gallery Tickets
Florence, Italy
My Rating

During the hieght of summer, being able to skip the line is a significant advantage. The Uffizi is one of the top tourist attractions in Florence, so this ticket option is well worth it. Although the instructions on/location for collecting the tickets could have been clearer, we did find the right sport in plenty of time and we able to walk right in. The gallery is large, but, was its size means that visitors are dispersed and you can enjoy the works at a leisurely pace. The roof top terrace is an ideal half-way stop for refreshments. Overall, a worthwhile experience and great way to spend a couple of hours.

Skip the Line: Venice Walking Tour with St Mark's Basilica
Venice, Italy
My Rating

My wife and I did this on our first day in Italy and thoroughly enjoyed it. The starting location is easy enough to find and our guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The tour takes in St Marks Square and then you get priority access into the Basilica (in itself a wonderful experience). Following this, the tour winds its way through Venice's narrow streets and squares, taking in some great architectural attractions along the way. In summer, a water bottle is essential, though there are opportunities to stop for refreshment along the way. Overall, great value for money, and a good way to familiarise yourself with the complex, and often confusing layout of the city.
