I totally enjoyed the day. It would have been nice to have a little more time in Girona. The Dali museum was fabulous. The bus was very comfortable and the guides were top quality and did a good job of trying to keep the translations equal between the languages necessary to accommodate the group. It was pretty hectic at the Dali museum with the crowds. It is very nice to go in with a group at the group entrance, as opposed to standing in the long lines. It's a long day but I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in seeing some historical places and fabulous art.
There was no one there to meet me. It almost 3 hours to finally get to my hotel, with my body thinking it was almost 24 hours awake. I finally got the phone number dialed using the appropriate prefix after getting directions from everyone I could ask to find the proper area, only to find it closed and no no one around. It's a very large airport and confusing. No one was giving me correct directions at the airport. After calling twice I was told someone was on their way and to go back to the closed area. Sign on the wall for shuttle, but no one there and the window locked shut at 10 a.m. in the morning still. It took about 45 minutes to get to me. Once the guy showed up it was fine. He got me to the hotel and carried my bags to the door. Later I learned he could have driven on the little street up to the door, since he was a shuttle or a taxi. But I was thankful because I could not have carried my stuff from the van to the hotel by myself for all that distance. I don't know if this is the most efficient way to get where you're going. The idea is great but it didn't work out so well.
