Excellent tour only 4 stars as the tour organisation is haphazard. Collected from hotel over1/2 hour late-had to get off coach to go into head office to register and they already knew we were on tripchecked in day before-make sure you have PHOTO IDENTITY on you when you check in for tickets or you cannot do tour Back on coach and to dock.Queued at dock-very efficient there.Boat had refreshments.Island we were told did not allow food-but some people had it.We took water and sweets and ate at fishermans wharf after tour-plenty of frstaurants and takeaways there.ALCATRAZ Told by rep to miss intoduction talk as you get offaprox 1/2 hr and make our way up hill to collect excellent headphone tour.Road train provided if you have difficulty climbing.Walk in prison is flat and there are restrooms, water drink fountain and benches outside. Can walk round groundsup and down Lots of flowers and when we were thereJanuary 2015 really good art exhibition in one building to do with people wrongly imprisoned.Lots of pictures in lego bricks of wrongly imprisoned people, a huge paper chinese dragon etc etc.As you come down hill on the left there is a god exhibition hall with many small exhibit rooms and videos -good to sit after walking round.Advise you to check with concierge at hotel as we stood outside unecessarily for over 1/2 hour and the rep actually comes on coach and into hotel.Concierge used to dealing with the tour company and will phone to ask a if they have forgotton you.

We both really enjoyed Muir Woods Wonderfull, amazing tall redwoods. You need walking shoes if you want to go on a trail, which we did.Woods are silent only and odd sound of birdnowhere to stop and sit The main walk is on the flat by a stream and there are places to sit and look up.You need a camera and water. We didnt see anywhere to get a drink or food. The trip to the woods is lovely and the views good.Driver stops so you can photograph The Golden Gate Bridge which you cross twice.Sausalito was charming. Plenty of restaurants and places to drink. Some really interesting glass in shops and lovely buildings.Lovely walk along the front and we were there as the light changed to evening and the views across the water were very atmospheric and if you are a camera enthusiast well worth taking as the mists coming down.
We were on P and O Baltic trip and it took us about 10 mins to get to tourist office to pick up Oslo pass. There was no problem with tourism-but we wanted to cross on ferry to Viking Museum and the signeage was not too clear as to which ferry we needed to get on! Unfortunately we didn't get a full day's use on this card as our itinery was changed by P and O and restricted to half a day .So anyone going should check that ,if there itinery is changed. We visited Viking ship museum which was excellent and easy to find (about 5 minute walk) off ferry. Also we did the Folk Museum which is a building museum and has demonstrations of dancing, crafts etc. They also have apartments which represented differant eras! We also did Fram museum (to the Pole) We did not have time to see anything else.Despite the rain, we enjoyed ourselves.
