This tour was the highlight of my trip! I was a bit weary when a little van picked me up in the morning, but my suspicions were quickly squashed. The reason they use smaller vehicles (the group was split into two vans for the tour) is because of the small, narrow roads on the Almalfi coast. If you get car-sick easily, you may want to bring some medicine to prevent nausea. The driver likes to go fast on those little roads! The tour does stop at a little cafe/mini-mart before you hit the coast so you can pick some up then.
We had a lovely blonde woman as a tour guide (I forgot her name). She was very informative and fun. The Almalfi coast was so beautiful! We first stopped in Amalfi then Positano. In Positano, you get two hours on your own. The guide recommended Chez Black. This restaurant was pretty good but very pricey - I had pizza which was underwhelming. Also, the service was slow so an hour was killed while we waited. I wish I had brought my own food so I could have enjoyed the beach longer.
Next, we went to Pompeii. Our local tour guide was an awesome man named Vincenzo. I usually zone out on historical tours, but he was funny and kept my attention. We only got two hours to walk around so we missed some stuff, however I felt the time spent was long enough so I am satisfied.
In retrospect, I probably would have planned for two day tours - one to the coast and one to Pompeii, just because I loved the coast so much. However, this tour is great if you are short on time and want an overview of these areas.
