I didn't realise when I booked this tour that it would be on the anniversary of 9/11, and it was the guide who pointed out all the flags at half mast. This made the experience even more sombre than it would normally be.
On a tour like this, there really isn't enough time to experience all the memorials at Pearl Harbor, but it certainly gives you an informative overview.
The guide's knowledge of local history was good, and it's certainly worth doing a tour to get an overall feel for the place and the history.
