The Colosseum and Ancient Rome tour was GREAT, thanks to "Manuela". Manuela was so knowledgeable, kind and a perfect guide. It was an amazing morning for us to learn about the Colosseum as well as Ancient Rome. Small group of 13 was perfect. Skipping the long lines priceless...
The Afternoon walking tour was good, but there were 25 of us on the crowded streets of Rome. We saw all the important sites. I think I did not enjoy this tour as much as the morning, because it was to much to absorb and enjoy in 1 day. If you have the time, 4 hours of tours a day is enough. If you are in a hurry, this will get you the most for your money.
Amazing tour. Can not imagine going to see all of this without a guide. Just do it!
Great Tour! We were considering staying a couple days in Cinque Terre, but decided to base ourselved in Florence and take this tour - it was the Right Desicison! Although the day is long and busy (8AM-9PM). It was comfortable, not rushed and enjoyable.
The tour was by WalkAboutTours and our guides Freddy and Sandra were the BEST! Although the bus was full (maybe 50-60 of us) we were treated like VIP's the entire trip. The information was well presented and interesting.
The day involves a lot of walking on steep stairs and uneven trails, so this is not for anyone not in good health or wearing high heels (someone was!). It is a wonderful combination of trails, trains and even a boat ride between the charming towns nestles along the Sea.
The lunch was good and there was just the right combination of touring as a group and for free time to take a coffee, wine, shop or just relax on a park bench.
One of our favorite tours in Italy!
This was our 3rd cooking class in a different country (including China and Barecelona). The trip to the market was basically to hear a presentation about some local food and customs - mostly Olive Oil, cheese and Balsamic Vinegar. It was interesting to learn about the different types and qualities of these products - and of course sample them. There is an opportunity to purchase some of the products afterwards, which we did! But, it was not a hard sell. We then walked to the Kitchen to begin our studies.
Although the class is quite basic, we did learn some new and enjoyable skills to use back home. We made Tiramisù, Ravioli, Tagliatelle (pasta) and Bolognese sauce. The class moves at a very relaxed pace and the Chefs (mostly Adrea) were charming, patient and knowlegable.
The Chianti began flowing as we finished our work and we enjoyed the efforts of our work with a nice meal and graduation ceremony...
The class had around 20 people, it was an enjoyable and different way to experience Florence. We would recommend it.
Must do tour! We were very impressed with both tour guides for this package. Both were professional, very knowledgeable and passionate about there work in sharing the art treasures of Florence.
We visited several museum afterwards after these tours and remaked how much we missed by not having a guide to give us the background, history and story of the art, artist and time.
The late morning and late afternoon tours were perfect for us. Time to have a nice breakfast and walk the streets, an afternoon break to enjoy lunch and relaxing before an interesting immersion into moreother Florence art.
I wish I could Highly recommend, but I can't for the price.
The boat was very nice, not to big, all the tables are good, mostly tables of 2 and a few for larger than that. The staff was friendly, not exceptional, but not bad.
The first half of the tour was a bit dissappointing, but the second half, when you return was Amazing, especially stopping in front of the Eiffel Tower for the light show!
Unfortunately the food was not very good or exciting. It was not bad, but only average.
For a special occasion, I would recommend as long as you do not expect to much for the meal. Again, the last half of the tour was amazing!
The hotel pickup was timely and great, however it took us 45 minutes to get back and there was still 1 couple left to be dropped off yet.
We did the 2 day option. The first day we rode and listened to the tour on both routes and decided where we wanted to get off on the second day. Worked great fo us. Would recommend you start early and wear warm clothes to ride on top, even a sunny day!
Quebec City, Canada
After living in Québec for several years, we finally tookt he plunge to go Whale Watching. It was a great experience!
The bus picked us up from Vieux Port and drove us on a scenice drive with a couple stops to stretch and grab so me food. The driver (Alaine Bélanger) was polite and informative.
We took the Zodiac and were not dissappointed! Our guide/captain was excellent and we enjoyed several whale sightings!
Hints: Dress warm, even on a summer day, the water and ride can be cold and wet! They say not to bring cameras, but every does without problems. The trip is Whale Watching and the whales have to be there and the captain capable of finding them, keep that in mind for the 3 hours you will be on the boat.
The return trip was quiet and relaxed, most of us resting after a long day.
I would highly recommed this Cruise and company!
