Gee it's pretty ordinary! And I paid a reduced rate with one of Viator's special deals. I am so embarrassed as an Australian when this sort of venue is put up as something special to overseas visitors. It's not the fault of the operator (except the price they charge). It's the venue .So it's on an island, which really is the same terrain above and below water as the mainland ( not exactly a tropical fish wonderland either). So what do you get there that's so special? You get very expensive prices for food,and drinks and alcohol (at the hotel). Yes it has to be transported there but it is REALLY expensive - and accomm. is even more outrageously priced. If you go, make it for one day and take your own food and refreshments!

first time up copter surprised it was so quiet and smooth. caught no.59 tram from Elizabeth St to stop 56 walked to hangar NOT well signposted and numbers are a bit "Irish". it's no Sydney harbour but it was interesting if not short. staff were friendly

the problem with these power passes are the usual:
it includes places that are free anyway eg the shopping centre at tysons corner a lame secret free gift is offered
lots of places require a car to get to them

there was considerable overlap with for example the trolley tour and the open top tour
some of the activities involve the whol,ke day for example the mount vernon cruise option leaving little time to avail yourself of other inclusions in order to make the card purchase financilally wortwhile
to activate the open top you had to make your way to a location a good walk from where you took up the open top tour
activating the whole thing had to be done at acity location but not, inexplicably at union station so this wasted time also
I enjoyed washington but cannit say i thought the powerpass was either good value OR an efficient use of time

This was good value especially in terms of the cable cars where i got my money's worth indeed. Be careful when you catch it - it gets very crowded and therefore inefficient on weekends and in the early afternoon AND where you catch it - near market street is a nightmare and the crew stops you from getting on to fill it but allows people on 2 stops up the street
I felt that i wasted my time going to a couple of the selections on the list and could have gone to other not-included sights to capitalise on my time better
the "science" place is really for kids and not good for adults on heir own but it was not fully described in the literature
overall good value
