Compared to other hop on hop off buses we have taken in other cities, we felt this one was not up to the usual standards. First off we weren't picked up at the hotel as scheduled. We wound up walking to the site where the bus tickets were given out. Secondly the bus it's self was not very good if you had to ride inside. The windows had writing on them so you couldn't see out very well. And you couldn't hear any of the recorded tourist information. The timing to connect to the various bus routes was not particularly convenient.
Liverpool, United Kingdom
It was a cool and windy day, but the HOHO bus was the perfect way to see the many sights of this well-known city. The audio commentary brought riders up to date on all the history and places of the tour. We rode it twice through the cycle and learned and saw a lot. It's our favorite way to "introduce" ourselves to a city.
This tour was very good. However, since it was Easter week, there were many processions in the main part of town, so the bus was only able to stop at places on the perimeter. This did not stop our enjoyment of the city, it only made people do a lot more on foot.
Jeanette was an outstanding tour guide. Her extensive knowledge made this tour one of the best we have taken. It was well worth the time and money.
