What an amazing show. It was a major highlight of my trip to Paris and a must see!

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and it was worth skipping the queue. I came back down the Eiffel Tour at 8 pm, just in time to see the lights flashing which was truly amazing.

Versailles was truly beautiful but the tour was awful. The tour guide was late picking us up and upon arrival at Versailles drove around for 1/2 hour looking for parking. We were made to sneakily queue jump and our guide then left us to make our own way in to get the translators. After waiting for another 1/2 hour we finally started the tour with 25000 other people. Don't go on Tuesdays as the Louvre is closed so tourists flock to Versailles and the crowds were a nightmare. Once inside the palace there is only one exit to the gardens, so be prepared to be pushed and shoved around every room before you can escape. It turned out we only had 30 minutes to wander through the gardens, so overall this 1/2 day tour was a major disappointment.
