This tour is a fantastic way to see San Francisco and then include a water tour of the Bay out to Alcatraz. Our guide, Greg, was so knowledgeable and even took us through back streets to get the best sights, as well as stopping to eat so we could sample the best clam chowder we had in San Francisco. The first part of the morning was spent seeing the Golden Gate Bridge, the beautiful Presidio gardens and all through the streets of San Francisco, down to Fishserman's Wharf, where Greg pointed out everything a tourist needed to see. Then we were dropped off with spare time to buy lunch before departing for Alcatraz. The tour to Alcatraz, complete with audio package, was a highlight. This trip is really worthwhile if you only have limited time to see Washington DC. It is an early start but well worth it. We stopped after a couple of hours of driving, for breakfast in Delaware. A huge centre where you can get good food. It would have been helpful to know in advance that the lunch stop only provided McDonalds, as I would have preferred to purchase some good food in Delaware in advance. All the major tourist sights are available to see on this great tour. The Lincoln, Washington, Vietnam and Korean memorials are stunning and there is plenty of time to wander. The White House is a significant stop with time to take photos on this occasion. Our stop at the Capitol was the only one where I felt a bit rushed. Just time to take a quick photo before getting back on the bus. There were preparations already underway for the Presidential Inauguration in January 2013 so I dont' know what else is usually available at the Capitol but for us it was a quick photo stop. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable but his English was quite difficult to understand - the only negative for this great trip.

A great tour, starting with a great view of the NYC skyline. Our tourguides Zu and Kernan were fantastic, very knowledgeable and always available for questions and giving additional information. It is an early start but well worth it. Even on a misty morning the views from Empire State Building were spectacular. From there we got on a bus and were taken to the Air and Space Museum and onto each of our other destinations, then onto a walking tour which included the Financial District ( Wall Street) and finally to the 9/ll memorial sight, before free time to take the water taxi back to Manhattan at our leisure. A very worthwhile tour!

The hop-on hop off stop was very close to our accommodation so was a plus for us. This tour allowed us access to all the areas we were interested in and we particularly spent a lot of time in Belem discovering monuments, parks, the famous "pasteis de Belem" (Portuguese tarts) and wonderful carriage museum. Great for us at it was quite a long way from our accommodation. It appeared that both the red and blue line hop-on hop-off tours cover all of Lisbon very well.
