Hilarious, shambolic. Godoliers shoved us into a godola without checking paperwork. A German lady shared the trip........ accidentally......she just wanted a taxi ride....but was afloat before she knew it ! The music was about eight godolas away. We could hardly hear it. However we were all laughing so much it didn't seem to matter. Another time I would book a private gondola ride and I certainly wouldn't book the "Romantic Dinner". Finding the restaurant was like being on a wierd treasure hunt and if I had investigated the loo before I had eaten I would have left before dinner started. We did laugh a lot and still wonder if the German lady ever got to her dinner engagement. Definitely not worth the fee......but certainly memorable!!

I have given this five stars in spite of the fact that there didnt seem to be a walking tour of anything other than the Palace. The guide for this tour was superb.She was knowledgeable, friendly, spoke clearly and with authority. I cannot praise enough. A lovely experience in a truly remarkable and beautiful setting. ( Necks get a bit sore.....so many gorgeous ceilings)
