Washington D.C., District of Columbia
I went on this tour with my cousin from Italy and my son this year and compared to the same tour last year, it was most dissapointing. I was extremely dissapointed that two groups were put into one group so you promise of small groups was not upheld, the tour was done completely backwards everything like the Vietnam Memorial and things that should be seen in whatever daylight or dusk is left was done last and we saw the other sights that normally are seen in the dark to show how beautiful they are when they are lit up? The tour guide Barbara was knowledgeable but overwhelmed with the amount of people and we spent half the time waiting or looking for people in our group in 100 degree weather. I have recommended this tour to literally hundres of people since last year, and will no longer be able to do so in good conscience as there was a lot of wasted time and poorly managed with way too many people, with nothing but an extremely dim light on the top of her umbrella to try to find her, everyone was complaining especially those with children. She needlessly talked when off the bus at the areas of interest in the heat and took away our time at each site, this information she gave could have easily been discussed on the air conditioned bus instead! It was very dissapointing and I will never take this tour or recommend it to any one at my school or elsewhere again, as it is not cheap and this time was not worth the money at all.
