London, United Kingdom
First of all, we booked an English tour but were put on an English/Spanish tour! If that wasn't bad enough, the tour guide spoke both languages poorly (I speak both languages as well). Turns out she was Hungarian! I feel we were cheated out of a better experience because of this. Then her microphone didn't work until the very end, so we missed a lot of information besides because we couldn't hear her. The locales were great, we had time to shop besides see the sites. Stonehenge was awesome because we had our own audio guide. I have been on other Viator tours which were much better.
It took us half an hour of walking, asking for directions, etc. before we found the boat stop (near the Vasa). The tour was OK, but we had to shorten it because we had to take a bus back to our ship. We didn't care of Stockholm before this ride. We had a better view of the city from a boat.
Once again, we waited outside the port for the bus, which we couldn't locate. Ended up walking about a mile to the hotel where the buses leave and of course we had missed our bus. Luckily, there was another tour at 12:30. So we had time to visit the Old Town, do some shopping and meet our guide. Turns out we had a "private" tour, since we were the only two on the bus! Our guide was good and really insistent on not accepting a tip at the end, but we won out. We like Tallin very much.
Very good tour. Lots to see. We didn't know the Town Hall was so far from the port, but an employee of the hop on/hop off tour let us ride their bus into town where we met our bus. Then for the harbor cruise we were allowed to get off near the Little Mermaid and walked back to the ship from there.
