After all the other Viator tours we had done, we were so disappointed with the Venice tour. Our guide started the tour early, which threw a few people of, and because the starting point was such a large public area, people were not even aware she was leaving. Although the information that was delivered was interesting, the disengaged manner, almost aloof, was very off putting. Later in the tour, our guide (who was born in Venice), starting speaking about the rest of Italy and Italians in a "us and them" manner, to the point of being insulting. The second part of our tour was a boat ride, with a different tour guide. She was lovely, very happy and very informative. Although I think that eight in a water taxi does not give everyone a good view point.

What an amazing afternoon. Our guide was a dream. So full of passion for Florence. At the end of our time together, the group were giving her kisses good-bye and thanking her profusely. Her dedication, her knowledge, her stories and her way of speaking were such a pleasure. The afternoon flew by way to quickly!!

This was a tour that I had been looking forward to, and we had booked before leaving Australia. We got there in the morning of our tour only to find we had booked the wrong day! Our tour guide and Viator where a pleasure to deal with and found room for us on a tour. It was everything we hoped it would be. Our tour guide's knowledge was fantastic, and her stories both interesting and entertaining. It was a great meeting place and very easy to find (we found a couple of tours were not so clear). The tour started on time, and the guide went at a pace that was enjoyable for everyone. Well done Viator!
