Skip the Line: Vatican Museums Walking Tour including Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms and St Peter's
Being from NY, I was a little skeptical when I saw all the 5 star ratings...but I assure you, all 5 stars are well deserved!
First of all, it was worth every penny just to "skip the line"....holy cow! Second of all, the Vatican is enormous and overwhelming. Just getting through the doors there are so many people.....if we were not with Daniella, I really think we might have been too overwhelmed to continue. I do not recommend for anyone to see the Vatican with out a guide - and that guide should be Daniella~
Daniella, was not just someone who memorized a lot of facts and had a set tour that she did 5 days a week - she was passionate, knowledgeable, and a lot of fun. She understood that this was a once in a lifetime event for most of us and she wanted us to get everything out of it that we possibly could. She made it interesting, educational (I was actually able to identify the Rafael out of 4 Frescos!), and was full of fun facts.
This was our second Viator tour and our second 5 star rating! As we plan additional trips, Viator will be our go-to tour company! They really know what they are doing!

We spent 4 days in Rome and then took a 7 night Mediterranean Cruise.....Altlhough the entire trip was amazing, I must say, Pompeii was the highlight.
Our guide Sara was knowledgeable, friendly and really concerned with making sure we all had a great time!
She and the other guide (there were two groups on one bus, then we split up when we got there) provided a lot of information as we made our way on the 3 hour ride. We made a pit stop halfway through and arrived at Pompeii just on time. When we got there, we met the man who would be our tour guide for the ruins. He was fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable, passionate and funny! It was a hot day - and very very crowded, but they did a great job of keeping us together and moving in to the shade whenever possible. Just being among the ruins was an incredible experience, but all the information our guide provided really made the city come to life! Afterwards, we went to Mount Vesuvius where we climbed to the top - it was not an easy hike - definitely more difficult than I anticipated - but it was exhilarating and amazing to make it to the top. The included lunch was great - and I slept the entire ride back, but my husband said the followup commentary on the way home was informational and fun.
Be prepared for a long but amazing day!
