Seeing Washington, DC at night is a great addition to seeing it during the day. The city looks beautiful at night, but some of the monuments are not as lit up as I would have liked. Others are more impressive at night than during the day. Both tour guide and bus driver were very informative and enjoyable.
We were a little short on time so we chose to see the monuments at night and tour the museums during the day. Since I have been to Washington several times the night-time tour was a different way to see DC. For a first visit to DC, I think seeing the monuments during the day is advisable before seeing them at night.
