Cairns, Palm Cove or Port Douglas, Australia
Disappointing trip, owing mainly to the tour company. Coaches on these trips are usually 'luxury' but this one was a small worn out minibus with commentary from a 'worn out' driver. Kuranda a much better trip, and you see very similar habitat and wildlife without involving a long journey. Half way through the Daintree trip, the coach driver decided to treat us to selected tunes from his portable CD, playing to some young guests on the tour. Not for those with a quieter disposition!
Gorge was lovely, but the distance travelling - over 600 kms, was quite long. In hindsight, I think a trip to nearer Litchfield National Park nearer to Darwin wouyld be preferable, and less expensive.
