Except for the weather at this time of year, rainy and misty, the trip was well worth seeing the magnificent Palace. It was good being with a small group,5 of us and the guide. The pick-up at the hotel was also a plus. The only disappointment was not actually walking in the garden right adjacent to the Palace. We took for granted that this would be part of the tour.We did however, drive around the extensive grounds and walk a bit on the wooded property.
To be able to visit the primary locations in Paris, this was the best way to do it.The busses were frequent and the route was clear on the map provided. I would say that this is a must for those who travel to Paris for the first time. The cost for two days was very reasonable and worth it.
Having just arrived in Paris that afternoon, this evening tour was a perfect way to start as it gave us a good orientation to the important landmarks in the city. The river cruise, the night tour and the visit to the Eiffel Tower was the right way to go. The only difficulty was finding the starting point to begin the tour in the bus.We just made it on time! Somehow, better directions should be given to reach the meeting place. We later realized that it was just around the corner from the Lourve but nothing was mentioned about this on the directions.
