The tour is worth it just to skip the lines. I don't have a whole lot of background in art history so having the guide (who was very knowledgeable) go through history made the experience much more enriching,

Skip the Line: Vatican in One Day

Some parts of the tour were pretty amazing. Would recommend to others, but may choose some of the other tours over this one if timing is limited. The full day tour also allowed us some free time which is nice since the Vatican is huge.
