London, United Kingdom
It was very cold and we had to queue along the road for more than an hour to get into Windsor Castle. The guide told us that Windsor had not had that many visitors for the past 20-30 years and it was just our luck. Due to the delay, we were just given time to cruise through Windsor Castle briefly with hardly time for snapping photos. It was the same with the visit to Stonehenge and Bath. The guide was excellent and he's just like a walking historian.
However, it could have been better if the ventilation of the coach was OK. Although the weather is cold, the driver kept himself warm (or the guests, which I doubt) by turning the air-conditioner to the lowest fan speed. The ventilation was so poor inside the coach (with 40-50 passengers) there was absolutely no air flow (no fresh air change). My hubby spoke to the guide and requested the coach driver to adjust the air-conditioner but was ignored. We are from a tropical country and we can accustom to the cold weather but was unable to tolerate sitting in a poorly ventilated coach. My husband had a miserable trip and suffered motion sickness due to the lack of oxygen (because no fresh air).
