London, United Kingdom
The trip got off to a bad start when the guide failed to announce the tour that I was signed up for. Apparently, the company had combined three similar, but different tours. Other guides in the bus station sorted things out and got me to the proper bus. They kept referring to a #20 tour, but no where on my ticket was that numbering used.
Once underway the guide announced to tour would be in English and Spanish. So there was way too much chatter throughout the day, especially since the English was not English as a British or American would recognize the accent. It made it very difficult to understand. Then she would repeat what she had said in Spanish. Apparently, some of the Spanish speaking people did not understand the concept of being on time, so we had to wait while the guide hunted them down in Bath.
Since not everyone had paid for the complete tour the guide kept pestering people to pay for additional sights. I had paid for everything, but she had no clue who had paid and who had not, so asked everybody.
Bath, Stonehenge and Salisbury cathedral were all great! Weather was even perfect. The company and guide could improve their service.
Very enjoyable tour and the guide was good at sharing her love of Milan and its history with the group. Even as I left the tour and was looking at a city map to plot my path to my afternoon's pursuits, she noticed the map and volunteered suggestions for the rest of my day.
