Very insightful and detailed. Enjoyed the tour a lot. Recommendation: take a small bag with you, or no bag at all. We had to leave our backpacks at the entrance as it was too large. The tour ends at the opposite end of the Vatican. We were suppose to walk back to the entrance (which felt like a mile or more) to get our backpacks back again. As we did not how how far the entrance was, we finally took a taxi back to the entrance - money well spent after a 3 hour walking tour!
This daytrip was the highlight of my whole holiday! The tourguide was well informed and very professional. We were so surprised by the town on the hill: San Gimignano (the name we still battle to pronounce). It was beautiful with a breathtaking view of the Tuscan countryside. It also has the award winning gelato ice cream - the best in the world! The lunch on the farm was excellent. The last stop was at the leaning tower of Pisa and the tourguide even gave us tips on how to take "cheesy" pictures of us "holding up" the tower. What a great day. I highly recommend this trip
