I'm giving the event 3 stars purely on the quality of the musicians and performers which was great. I was disappointed with the instructions from the information office on where the dinner was to take place. We wandered around the palace area for 30 minutes or so looking for the dinner location, only to find it in a well-hidden corner of the palace orangerie with no signs or indications that it was the right place. The dinner quality itself was marginal at best, what I would expect in a low cost cafeteria, flavorless beef and potatoes and some soggy vegetables. The room where the concert took place was not a good venue, 200+ people packed into a banquet hall where visibility was terrible and the room was stiflingly hot. You really had to suffer a bit to enjoy some quality music.
Alot of riding in an excessively hot bus (heater on max when it was not overly cold outside) on not overly scenic autobahns; scenery on back roads was okay but the weather was foggy so not much to be seen. The stops at the Church, Monastery, and Underground Lake were interesting but very short and seemingly rushed. The weather was wet and foggy, so maybe that made it worse; maybe a better tour during the spring and summer months.
