The highlands tour is definitely worth doing whilst in Scotland. We loved all the places we visited, and our guide Colin was very passionate about the Scottish history that the whole bus was very absorbed in all his stories. The steam train was my favourite and I would have liked to stay another night on the Isle of Sky as the weather was not great and only cleared up when we were leaving. Would also recommend spending a little extra on the hotels as they all had great locations, very clean and comfortable. Majority of the tours are 'extra's' so you can pick and choose. Ask your guide to take you to the Eileen Donan castle - this was one of the best castle's on the tour.
3 days is more than enough to see Southern Ireland. The tour guide (Brian) was fantastic, very cheerful, knowledgeable and took the time to learn our name's. Blarney Castle was a highlight, but the B and B we stayed in was 10 minute walk out of town and the hot water system broke on the second day so no hot showers!
The Ring of Kerry was a full day in a bus and was very rushed. The whether started out great but by the time we got to the top of the mountain the mist was so thick we could not see anything. It cleared up when we got to Killarney National Park but we only had up to 10 minutes to enjoy the view - not so great if you are a hobbyist photographer. Would love to go back to the National Park - it was stunning!
The whether was great for the Cliffs of Moher and we had enough time to enjoy the view and take pics. So much to see in 3 days but if you are on a tight time frame then this is definitely the tour to take - the history lesson from our tour guide make's tours like this worth it :)
