Rome to Pompeii Shuttle Bus & Independent Day Trip

My Review: The bus left about 30 minutes later than it was supposed to, and we were told to be back at the bus 30 minutes before the advertised end time. So, we got shorted one hour of time at Pompeii, which we could have used to see more of the site. In addition, our tour guide told us he would explain points of interest along the way. He did point out one place along the way - Monte Cassino - but the rest of the time he chatted with one woman at the front of the bus. When I asked him a simple question about a crop growing along the way, he had no idea what it was and asked the bus driver if he knew. Fortunately, the driver did know about it. Aside from the fact that the bus got us there and back, I was not all that pleased with the experience.

My Review: Overall the trip was great. The visit to the catacombs is fairly brief, about thirty or forty minutes, but very interesting. The two basilicas are very impressive as well. I would do this again.
