This tour was basically a quick and easy way t avoid the line at the entrance of the Vatican museum. when we arrived just before 10am to meet our tour group at the predetermined area, the line was huge and wound around for ever. we thought to ourselves that the money we paid was well worth it...especially if waiting in line during a rainy day or during the HOT summer months. After seeing the museum, when we left (around 1:30pm or 2:00pm) there was no line at all. So, here is my suggestion...if you need to go to the museum early, this tour (and it wasn't cheap) will get you past the crowds and inside within 20 minutes. If you are in no hurry and can tour the museum in the late afternoon, then DON'T buy this tour. Save your money. Thee is no line to avoid after 2:00pm. By the way, that was all the tour did, once inside, the tour guide was gone and we were on our own. ANd one more reason to go later on in the day...there is too many people in there in the morning. The rooms are too crowded and that makes art absorbtion and appreciation very difficult.
This tour is a rip off...and here is why. We bought the tour to avoid the lines at the Coleseum and for that it worked, but before the tour even started the guide told us that we had to pay an additional 15 Euros per person to get into the Coleseum. The day before the tour my wife and I took the metro to all of the other sites on this tour and saw them on our own. SO for us the only thing this tour did for us was pass the entry line crowd at the Coleseum. Not worth the expense. Oh, an as far as the guide goes, she kept bragging o how wonderful the ROmans were.
