This tour was not very good. The tour guide was great...... but the visit at Versailles resulted in people being issued audio devices for the inside tour of the palace. Since only about 45 minutes existed for the tour of the inside of the palace, it was most difficult to learn of any of the valuable things that Versailles history could provide. Compounding this shortness, was a multitude of people inside the palace...... actually an overflow crowd of pushing and loud people. We were there on a SUNDAY afternoon and would not recommend this time to anyone. The most that we obtained from the tour was a quick pass through of the inside the palace. Very disappointing.
Average tour with only one shortcoming........ namely, that the tour was broken into two different tours on tow different buses each leaving from the same location with a separation of time of about 2 hours. This was NOT obvious from reading the tour advertisement information posted by VIATOR on the web. WE thought that the tour would be continuous and not two different tours. The city tour was less interesting...... the diamond factory as crowded; the tour did not go to the palace square and did not go near the "red light" district or the Anne Frank house.. The afternoon tour of the villages and windmills was great and most interesting. This afternoon portion of the tour is highly recommended, whereas the city portion of the tour was only average.
Tour was enjoyable and relaxing. The trip through the city main canals and around the outside of the old city was interesting. The wind and cheese platter, and continuous glass refills of wine, was appreciated. The tour is rated highly for a relaxing time.
