Arizona Ghost Towns and Wild-West Day Trip from Las Vegas

Las Vegas, Nevada

My Rating
2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better

My Review

This ended up being a 6 hour tour with 4hours spent riding in a car. While the guide was very informative, it was rather boring just with all the riding. The town of Chloride was also dissapointing as nothing was going on due to having some snowfall the day before (?) That was wierd. Going to Oatman was the best part and probably should be highlighted in the previews for the tour. We were giving a sack lunch and left to eat out on the streets, which wouldn't have been bad if it had not been so cold out. Our last stop was at some peoples property that had a lot of old and interesting stuff, but was not a town. I just don't think it was worth what it cost.

Note from Viator
Thank you for your feedback, our supplier has responded with the following: We are very sorry that this tour did not live up to your expectations. I checked our computerized vehicle tracking device and the tour that you took was actually 9 hours with 4 hours of driving. Most clients enjoy the spectacular Mojave Desert scenery and frequently list the drive down Route 66 on the way into Oatman as one of the most scenic roads they have ever driven. We try to keep guests entertained the whole way with interesting facts and stories. Chloride is a fascinating and lesser known Ghost Town- its a deserted historic mining town and isn't over crowded with visitors, we pride ourselves with being able to get clients off the beaten track and this town certainly accomplishes that. We are sorry you didnt enjoy your lunch. Our sack lunches are prepared fresh daily by award winning Pampas Brazilian Restaurant and they have received many compliments in several reviews. One of the best parts about Oatman is being able to sit under the shop awnings enjoying lunch whilst watching the cowboy shoot out show in the streets. Our last stop is at world famous El Dorado Canyon. A 1775 historic gold mining town famous for movie shoots, promotional photography and one of the best private collections of historic mining memorabilia in the entire United States! We hope that you will join is on one of our other tours which might be better suited to your interests.

Good show- tight seating. A couple of the singers really stood out above the rest.

Loved this tour!! It's a can't miss event in my opinion. We did not do the skywalk, I didn't think it was worth the extra $$ and they would not let you take pictures from it. Everything else was fantastic!

Great bargain and it was nice to not have to worry about getting a cab and the expense involved with that. This way it was all paid for and ready to go!!
