We chose to do this tour as research found it difficult to get from Rome to Sorrento. Day 1 and 3 were really disappointing. Lack of communication, late pick ups, being put on a bus where everyone else is Spanish speaking and we were English speaking. Our guide thought we were going to Capri when we were meant to be going to Pompeii. The stop in Naples is a waste of time and boring. Lunch in Pompeii was ok. By the time we actually got to the ruins it was 2pm, we were taken to a cameo shop before heading to the ruins, no idea why. Our tour guide of the ruins was horrible there was no emotion or excitement in the information given. After Pompeii we took our bags from the bus and put onto a smaller mini bus that headed to Sorrento. FINALLY a guide that actually explained something to us in ENGLISH! Again we were the only English speaking clients. There were about 10 couples all dropped at different hotels, we were at the final hotel which was extremely nice and was the saving grace of the 3 days. Hotel Grand Capodimonte room was big, nice view of Sorrento and had good food (wait staff were pretty bad). Day 2 was Capri, picked up at 10am (the ONLY bus that was EVER on time). Our guide was Lavinia she was fantastic, again the only English speaking couple however she went out of her way to make sure we were informed of everything THANK YOU! Capri was nice, good lunch, headed back to Sorrento at 5.15pm, a bit chaotic at the ferry terminal. Day 3 a day at leisure to do what you please, pick up at the hotel 3.15pm. Bus arrived 3.45pm, arrived Pompeii at 4.30pm put onto another bus with different tour guides.. We didn't leave Pompeii till 5.15pm, headed to Naples to pick up more people "only 10 minutes here" 30 min later we left Naples, 1 hr in a 20 minute pit stop at some place that was really a tourist trap. Finally dropped at our hotel at 9.30pm 6 hrs after leaving our hotel in Sorrento. Wouldn't recommend unless you enjoy stuffing around and wasting time on buses!
This is a must do tour for first time visitors to Berlin! It was a complete highlight of our entire month trip around Europe. This was the first thing that my partner and I did after arriving into Berlin. We had a small group of 12 which was great, everyone was from a different country and all very friendly. Our guide was fantastic, extremely knowledgeable, approachable and made sure that everyone of us on the tour was comfortable on the segway. Partway through the tour we stopped at a coffee shop near Check Point Charlie, it was good to have a break from the segway, learn about the arena a bit more and warm up a little. Thank you to our tour guide was Marriette!
I had been really excited about visiting this place on our travels through Europe. In my opinion I was completely disappointed and it is not worth your while. You receive a tiny sample on entry and one other sample of chocolate on a wafer stick. €17 for the two of to enter we would have been much better off spending the money on chocolate from the shop.
