Although freezing (February is not the best time to hit the top of the eiffel tower), our tour guide was great- she gave us time to explore and take pictures on our own, and did an excellent job of telling us about the history of the tower and a lot of information that I'd never have guessed about it. Definitely worth taking the tour, just try when it's a bit warmer!
