This was a very enjoyable day. The scenery was spectacular, and I recommend the chairlift ride for fabulous views. We were able to go out to the Blue Grotto which was well worth it, but the extra cost was not 9-10 euros, but 13.50 pp to get out to the cave, then 12.50 euros pp to go inside the cave, so make sure you have enough cash. I travelled with my teenage son and we both thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
The tour of Pompeii was just fabulous; so interesting! The local guide was very knowledgeable and breathed life into everything, while effortlessly switching languages to suit the varied members of the group. The lunch was better than I was expecting, with the pizza big enough to satisy a teenager's appetite. Climbing to the top of Vesusius was a real highlight. It was a hot, steep, dusty walk, but so worth it. Loved it.
This was a very enjoyable afternoon. The guide pointed out interesting things along the route to Pisa, although on a motorway there's not much to see. The local guide in Pisa was very entertaining and engaging, and obviously very proud of his city. To have climbed the tower would have been a rush so we chose not to, but for my teenage son this was the only downside. I recommend this tour.
London, United Kingdom
I took my 13 year old son and we both really enjoyed the day. The wait in the queue was close to an hour, but once we were in we loved every moment.
