This tour offered a nice contrast to exploring the city. It was a cool sunny day and the mountain views were spectacular. Our driver was skilled and tour guide very warm and knowledgable. Frequent stops were made to take in the views and Berber tea with local villagers was the highlight of the day. My only complaint: backseats in the vehicles can be uncomfortable.
Long day of touring but this was a great opportunity to get an introduction to multiple sights. Our guides were fantastic - welcoming, humorous, extremely willing to share knowledge and shepherd along our big group. I wished we had more time to explore the souks rather than moving along quickly while trying not to get run over by motorbikes. Lunch was quite enjoyable on a rooftop terrance with a nice view. The day was a nice mix of peaceful enclaves (Ben Youssef Madrasa, Saaid Tombs) and high activity in the medina. Glad we did it!
I thoroughly enjoyed my day trip with our knowledgable tour guide Sherry. It would have been difficult to see these sights all on my own and I enjoyed sharing the experience within a small group of 5 women, especially since I was touring solo. Wandering around Zhouzhuang was my favorite part of the day and I wished we had more time there. The meal could have better and I did feel rushed through parts of the day but overall the experience was very nice. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Shanghai who wants to get out of the city for a while.
