The staff at the port was helpful in contacting our taxi driver, but we had to wait almost an hour standing at the the freezing cold and windy dock with all our luggage. Once we got our boat the service was fast and efficient, but the wait about killed us, nowhere to sit down, nor any toilet access.
This was a great way to get acquainted with Rome and then get back to the sights we wanted to see. The only problem that we had initially was finding the pick-up stop near Termini station. The signs were very small and hard to spot unless you knew what you were looking for. Also, some of the pick-up locations were unbelievably crowded., but we learned to avoid those stops and walk to a less crowded location.
