We had a great day trip from Sydney to the Blue Mountains. Our Driver/Guide was very friendly and he made sure we got the most from this trip. THe time was well distributed. We felt we could have spent a little more time at the animal park, but, there were many actrivities packed into this trip, and we were glad to be able to experience them all.
I strongly reccommend this tour for anyone visiting Sydney.
Cairns or Palm Cove, Australia
In general we enjoyed our day trip.
We did the horse/ATV combo. We were a little dissapointed with the hors riding portion. THis is OK if you are a beginner or have little experience riding horses. For intermidiate or higher, this will probably be a boring ride.
Howewver, the ATV portion saved the day! This was a blast, and we enjoyed it tremendously. Even my hard-to-please teenage daughter gave it a thumbs up!
In general, I would reccomend this day trip. If you have to choose between the horse riding or the ATV, go for the ATV.
Very well organized tour with a very friendly crew.
Long line to check in in the morning, but once you get through that is smoot sailing. The boat was very clean and confortable, the ride was very smooth, and the food was surprisingly good. But, what makes this company special is their staff. All the crew in our trip was extremely friendly and they all seemed to be having a great time. They took great care of all of us.
We are certified divers and did two dives with them. Even though there were abbout 40 people in the bota, only 13-15 were doing the dives for certified divers and they divided us in 3 small groups, which made the experience more enjoyable. All the equipment was in good order and we felt very comfortable with our diving guide.
The only negative about this trip is that about 70-75% of all the coral we saw was dead. We don't know if this is a problem only around some of the most commonly dived reefs there, or if this is a more widespread problem all around Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef. If this is more of a local problem, they should choose a better diving location. If this is a more widespread problem, then, obviously, there is nothing this company can do about it.
One of the highlights of our 2-week trip to Australia!
This is not-to-be-missed experience. The animal park was a great experience and we had plenty of time to pet the Kangaroos. You can not pet the Koalas here, and we learned that in most places in Australia you are not allowed to carry them or pet them (apparently in the parks around Cairns you can). To be able to have photographs taken with a Koala you must pay a small adiitional fee for the photo that they take and sell you, but they allow you then to take as many photos as you want with your camera.
For Phillips Island we chose the VIP package with viewing from the Ranger's platform and it was worth it. It was an unforgettable experience to watch the penguins coming out of the ocean.
The only negative about this tour is that they don't allow any type of photography at the Penguin Sanctuary.
