Don't waste money and time on this tour! Bus was so rickety and noisy, you could not hear tour guides. So called tour of Naples was nothing more than a drive through and a stop at an ugly beach. Lunch in Pompeii was not good (noticed that tour guides were eating pizza and not what was served to group...that tells you something) The only good part of the 14 hour trip was the 2 hour walking tour of Pompeii ruins. Our guide, Franco, was excellent. To their credit, tour guide Nina did put some of us on a different bus (nicer - quieter) for the trip back to Rome.
Class was fun, food was excellent! The only disappointments were that there were only 2 chefs for 20+ people and instruction was very rushed. Also, we expected wine pairings per course but only were offered a white with dinner. One other note that dinner setting was in the ancient wine cellar - very charming but moldy. A few people in our group had some problems with this.
Tour guides were wonderful. Giverny was breath taking beautiful. Versailles was incredible with eye popping opulence. The best surprise of this trip was lunch! A quick 5 minute ride to a farm that had a mill converted into a restaurant. Delicious meal, beautiful setting, great service!
Fabulous tour! Stop in Honfleur was not on the agenda but was a very nice surprise and great place for lunch. Guides were very friendly and informative. The only blemish was the hotel and dinner in Caen. If you could upgrade this, tour would be superb!
