Los Angeles, California
Excellent service, and worth it considering the distance between LAX and Anaheim.
Las Vegas, Nevada
A long day (the south rim is much further than the West rim tour) but so worth the trip, as once you get to the Canyon the views are amazing! On the way to the Canyon, there's a quick stop at Hoover Dam, so get your camera ready. If you purchase the helicopter experience, you'll be dropped off first, while the rest of the bus head to the National Geographic Centre. Some people selected the Pink Jeep experience (small group tours of the Canyon), or select the IMAX movie (30 min). Skip the IMAX movie if you want more time to walk around the National Geographic Centre or to relax and enjoy your lunch. (You get a lunch voucher). There will always be a lot of other bus tours, so be prepared to take a lot of quick shots then move on to the next viewing platform. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes, it's warm but can get cold on the bus ride back to Las Vegas. Enjoy this amazing natural wonder!
This is a must see and I highly recommend this tour, it was a long day but so worth it. Here's a few tips:
(1.) Don't take any bags, purses, camera bags etc, you will have to check these into bag storage when you get to Pearl Habour.
(2.) Purchase the audio guide headset, ($7) it helps to guide you around the museum, the memorial, and the garden pathway.
(3.) Do the self-guided tour of the USS Missouri, you'll be able to see more, they also have an audio guide and an iPod audio guide for hire.
(4) The submarine is not included in this tour, you'll have to purchase this separately. But you may run out of time to do this.
(5) The bus drive to and from Pearl Habour will also take you on a tour of Waikiki, past Punchbowl Cemetary, and the King Kamehameha Statue - so make sure you have your camera fully charged and a large memory card.
