It was kind of grey and windy that day, so it was a little choppy and the water was not as clear as I had read about. Also no dolphins around that day. It was still a great trip. I got to see several sea turtles and some other fish. We were out quite a ways from the beach so the coral reef was pretty far below us. Unless you can free dive you may not see as much as someone who does free dive. I went on a day when there were only 13 of us, typically there is a full boat. The crew was great and very friendly. They had a little breakfast and some lunch as well as cocktails and other beverages. They were also cool enough to give us a pass for another free trip since we did not see dolphins that day!! That was very awesome of them to do that. To be honest I had a great time and would do it again. I did not care so much about seeing the dolphins as much as seeing the sea turtles :-)!!
As far as the company who did the pick up and drop offs, they were very nice. My disappointment was the bay itself. It is beautiful from the top looking down over it. Everyone should see it at least once. I went to snorkel of course. So, I guess I went when it was on a cloudy windy day and it was low tide. Because the water was so shallow when I was there I was not able to see much of the reef life, every time I got close to going over a reef I knew I was going to rub against it and that is a BIG NO NO! For good reason, to protect the reef and its marine ecosystem. Because of the wind the life guards were on alert and telling people not to go out past the buoys for safety reasons. I feel the experience would have been better over all if I had gone on a less windy day and on a higher tide. I would like to note on here that I felt that even though they stressed not touching the reefs that people were disrespectful and did so anyway. If people want to continue for there to be a reef there to see maybe they should have more respect for the ecosystem and obey the rules that are put there for a reason.
I did this on my birthday and have wanted to do it my entire life!! It was awesome!! There are sharks all over the place and they do not need to bait or chum in order for the sharks to come to the cage. I went on a very clear and mild day and I got the video which I am now glad I did so I can relive it forever. The crew was super cool and nice and funny. I only wish I could have stayed in the water longer, like an hour would have been great. I kind of wish I had enough time to do this tour again while I was there, but had too many other tours planned during my stay. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves sharks or for anyone who is just curious about how sharks really are in the wild.
