Tour was OK, not that it was bad, just OK. Guide was a little difficult to understand. English vocabulary was good, but she has a vary thick accent which can be hard to understand. Heavy cloud cover made viewing Fuji difficult (not the tours fault). Without being able to see the top of Fuji, it was like taking a long bus ride to see Fuji's gift shop. This tour is heavy on gift shops. Every stop there was someone trying to sell something, most of which had little to nothing to do with the place you were at. Bullet train ride was nothing special since it was dark outside. Not being able to see outside of the train makes it difficult to realize the speed of the train. Was not happy about the bus being delayed right off the bat because someone could not be on time. If you're not on time, you should be left behind. I was 45 min. early, and had to wait for someone else who was late. Boat ride on Lake Ashi was OK, but too short, only 15 min. long, not worth it. Cable car was too crowded, 80 people or more crammed into it, going both ways. Good views once the cable car reaches the top and there's a shrine at the top, but not enough time to go see it. This tour does have a lot of variety in it and that is a good point. Over all, I could have found a better way to spend the whole day ( and my $).
Of course the sights were fantastic, but the guide was not that good. Someone needs to teach her how to use a microphone. The most unprofessional guide I've had yet. The guide make the tour. bad guide = bad tour.
