Biking is a good way to explore Kyoto. We were lucky to have a private tour. The tour guide was very nice but a little unexperienced. But that was okay, we had a great day. Biking along the river an at the Path of Philosophy was wonderful.
We spent more time on the bus then at Mount Fuji. It was very dissapointing. The lunch was very bad, no drinks included, served in a bad hotel. Bus ride took forever, very boring. Boat trip on lake Ashi took only 15 minutes and wasn't worthwhile. We only spent 30 minutes at Mount Fuji, very crowded with a lot of coaches and tourists. Totally overrated and a waste of the day. It's much better to arrange something private.
