My Review

Very Highly recommended. The guide (Francesca?) was very pleasant, fumy and above extremely knowledgeable. It is a great credit to Dark Rome tours that their guides are very, very knowledgeable of their subjects and their passion for their subjects shines through.
Viators pre tour information, booking process, venue directions and ticketing process were all also exemplary.

Pompeii Day Trip from Rome

Rome, Italy

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review

Another very well organised Dark Rome Tour. The guides (Anna was ours) were again very informative and extremely knowledgeable of their subject.
Be warned though it is a Looong trip, very tiring, and climbing a volcano in Italian heat is no easy task.
One criticism, and its the only criticism i have of Dark Rome and that is the laid on Lunch in Naples. It was not good, very rushed, poor quality and the staff were impatient and non attentive, made us feel like schoolchildren on a field trip stopover at a motorway service station.
Apart from that, the trip was very enjoyable, but next time, i think i would do the museum in the morning and pompeii in the afternoon as the climb in the heat was energy draining.

My Review

Another superb tour from Dark Rome. This was our first of three and our guide was Christina, a very likeable and extremely knowledgeable lady. She walked us through the Forum and on to Palatine and then the Colosseum explaining every little thing surrounding the events and history of the ruins we were seeing, in an enjoyable and pleasant way.
